Coin Flip

Flip once to settle something, or flip hundreds of times to watch the ratio drift towards 50/50 as the count grows. Results, counts and the full sequence are shown, which makes it a convenient demonstration of the law of large numbers as well as a way to make a decision.

Frequently asked questions

Is the coin fair?

Yes. Each flip is an independent draw with a 50% chance of each outcome, taken from your browser's cryptographic random source. Runs of five or six identical results are entirely normal and do not mean the next flip is any more likely to differ.
